10.01.2012 Xth intensive seminar of Argentine tango teachers training,Dear friends! We're inviting you to the Xth intensive seminar of Argentine tango teachers training, which will take place on February 11-12th in Moscow. The topic of the seminar will be «The posture and body position in difficult tango elements». The seminar will be given by Elvira Malishevskaya, professional choreographer and tango teacher, the founder of the first tango school in St. Petersburg («Edissa»), organizer of two international tango festivals in Moscow («White Tango Festival») and in St. Petersburg («Nevskaya milonga»). WHO THIS SEMINAR IS FOR: for teachers of argentine tango who want to improve their teaching and dancing skills; for experienced tangeros or professional dancers who haven't yet tried teaching tango, but want to start doing it or, probably, open their own tango school; and also this seminar is intended for those tangeros who want to learn more about tango and to improve their dance at all levels (from the contact inside of the couple to how it looks at milonga). WE ORGANIZE THIS SEMINAR to give you opportunity to master your tango, to let you know about some new tendencies of dancing and teaching in the world of tango and then try them, to give you all the necessary information (or at least the most part of it) to open your own tango school (for example, if you're a professional dancer, but not a professional tangero). Seminar of Argentine tango teachers training is a marvellous opportunity to get to know your colleagues and to establish relationships with them for your future projects. WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO AT THE SEMINAR The question of the most «correct» and comfortable embrace and body position have always placed a certain problem to those who choose to dance tango. Why? Because they are one of the conditions to again «correct» leading and following and harmony of the dance. At the seminar we will carefully examine what exactly creates the embrace and body position in tango, how this things influence the axis of the couple (and of each of the parteners as well) and how to work with the space created by the embrace. On the level of elements and sequences we will work with sacadas for both of the partners, with the change of directions and dynamics, we'll work with giro based sequences with the change of rhythm, we'll look at boleos and ganchos and some more interesting things.
